The usual purpose and role of the footer tag <footer> is that it “sticks” to the bottom of the browser . But it is not always the case , for example if the content on the page is short, without correct settings the footer will still not move to the bottom of the browser window.
This is my CSS3 snippet to create a Flex 3 columns footer for a short page:
